Our Lady of Mount Carmel in East Boston was built over 100 years ago by Italian immigrants. In 2004 the archdiocese shuttered the parish with reason that the parish could not sustain itself financially. Loyal parishioners angered by the decision by the archdiocese banded together to take matters into their own hands. Therefore a 24 hour vigil was started by the parishioners. Join us in this fight to take back was rightfully belongs to the people who built this parish with their own money and their faith in God.
